Hindu Nationalists Target Cricketer Harbhajan Singh in Online Campaign, Issue Threats to Rape his daughter

27 February 2025: - In India, Hindu nationalist groups have been known to pressure minorities into making statements against their will. In the past, there have been incidents where Muslims were forced to chant "Jai Shri Ram." In a recent controversy, Hindu nationalists launched a campaign on social media platform X, demanding that former Indian cricketers publicly denounce Khalistan by saying "Khalistan Murdabad" (Death to Khalistan).
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh engaged in discussions with users involved in the campaign, which soon escalated into a heated argument. When Singh refused to make the statement, some accused him of being a Khalistan supporter. The situation intensified as a growing number of nationalist users joined the campaign, pressuring him to comply.
However, the dispute took a disturbing turn when Singh and his family became targets of violent threats. Some individuals began issuing threats against his wife and even his 8-year-old daughter. A social media account named "Randomsena," which had been actively promoting the campaign, allegedly shared they got his home address. In a shocking escalation, the account also posted a photo of Asifa Bano, an eight-year-old girl who was raped and murdered in a Hindu temple in Jammu and Kashmir in 2018. Accompanying the image was a chilling message implying that Singh’s daughter could meet the same fate.
When the threats were reported to the police, investigations revealed that the "Randomsena" account was operated by an individual named Abhishek from Bihar. Reports suggest that he warned authorities against arresting him, claiming widespread support from nationalist groups and threatening severe consequences if action was taken against him.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for strict legal action against those making violent threats online. Meanwhile, authorities are under pressure to ensure the safety of Singh and his family while addressing the rising trend of Hindu extremism in India. till now no one is arrested for making violent threats and threats to rape 8 years old girl of international crickets and MP.  meanwhile minorities are put in jail for barely asking for justice and freedom in india.
